Naivasha Water and Sanitation Company was pleased to host representatives from Haskoning, VEI, and other key partners for a comprehensive progress review on activities under the Naivasha Special Economic Zone (SEZ) project.
The meeting provided an important platform to evaluate ongoing feasibility studies, assess current milestones, and align on the next steps required for successful implementation.
Discussions centered on the essential infrastructure components needed to support the SEZ, particularly water and sewerage systems. The partners reviewed technical progress made so far and highlighted priority areas that will inform upcoming phases of the project.
A major highlight of the engagement was the joint commitment to fast-tracking planning for “last mile” water and sewer service connections within the SEZ. These connections are crucial to ensuring that industries and future developments in the zone have reliable, sustainable, and efficiently managed utility services.
The meeting reinforced the shared goal among all partners to deliver an SEZ that meets global standards in environmental management, utility services, and long-term sustainability.
We continue to actively engage stakeholders, development partners, and government agencies to mobilize the necessary support for completing the remaining components of the project.
Naivasha Water and Sanitation Company remains committed to playing its role in ensuring the SEZ becomes a transformative industrial hub. Reliable water and sanitation services will be key drivers in attracting investment, creating employment opportunities, and fostering sustainable growth in the region.
We appreciate the continued partnership and collaboration from Haskoning, VEI, and all stakeholders working toward the success of this project.
